BREK75 Trip

Chad Dupin

Turning 40 in style: Skiing Breckenridge with my brother and closest friends. Epic slopes, Peak 8's heights, and unforgettable laughs.

For my 40th birthday, I wanted to do something truly fun. So, I gathered my brother Clint and two of my closest friends, Derek and Dan, and we set off for a weekend of skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado. With its stunning peaks and charming mountain town vibe, Breckenridge was the perfect backdrop.

Breckenridge is a skier's dream, offering everything from wide-open groomers to challenging expert terrain. But one moment stood out above all: tackling the Imperial Express Lift on Peak 8, the highest lift in North America. Watch our video here →.

Riding that lift to 12,998 feet felt like stepping into another world. The air was thin, the views were surreal, and the anticipation was electric. At the top, we paused to take it all in—a panoramic view of snow-covered peaks stretching into the horizon. For a moment, everything stood still, and it felt like we were on top of the world.

Après-Ski: Stories and Laughter

After epic days on the slopes, we shifted gears to Breckenridge's vibrant après-ski scene. Main Street was the perfect spot to unwind, with its cozy bars, local breweries, and incredible restaurants. The evenings were filled with laughter and storytelling, whether enjoying craft beer at Breckenridge Brewery or hearty meals at local haunts.

Looking Ahead

Reflecting on this week, I'm reminded of how important it is to celebrate life's big milestones. But more importantly, it's about the people who make those moments meaningful. Clint, Derek, and Dan made this trip unforgettable, and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for all of us.

Not everything was perfect. We had several challenges and bloopers during our trip, which you can see. Some outtakes and bloopers from the adventure at Breckenridge.

Imperial to North Bowl at Breckenridge. We rode the Imperial Express to the top of Peak 8 during our trip to Breckenridge. At 12,998', it is the highest lift in North America. It was quite the run.
